METHODS & EVIDENCE
What each result tells you
Three kinds of evidence, with different questions and limits.
01 · HYPOTHETICAL MODELS
What if these assumptions were true?
The full-range lab uses a simplified Uniswap v2-style 50/50 constant-product model to compare a position with holding its starting ETH and USDC. The price-range lab uses simplified Uniswap v3-style concentrated liquidity math to calculate a position for your chosen bounds and compare it with holding its own starting tokens.
Uniswap v3 also allows full-range positions. The v2-style and v3-style labels identify the model used in each Passiko lab.
Calculation identifiers such as cp50-v1 and cl-range-v1 identify Passiko’s model revisions. Their v1 does not refer to Uniswap v1.
Prices, budget and fee income come from your inputs. Fee income is a supplied assumption, treated as separate USD cash after any protocol share. It is not estimated from trading activity. Some lessons supply fictional fees and costs to help interpret a result; these are labelled teaching facts.
The labs assume USDC = $1 and ideal price alignment through arbitrage. They calculate endpoints rather than a trading path. They omit gas, earned-fee estimation, rebalancing, native tick constraints and loss-versus-rebalancing (LVR).
The virtual swap sandbox is a separate pretend pool. Its trades change its reserves; it does not submit transactions.
02 · RECORDED SNAPSHOTS
What did this pool or position hold at one block?
Live imports read Ethereum WETH/USDC pools and Uniswap v3 positions at a finalized block. Each result retains its block number, hash, timestamp and data source. The block hash is checked again after the reads.
Principal token amounts and uncollected fees are recomputed from the recorded contract values. A snapshot describes that moment; it does not establish lifetime profit or reconstruct the original deposit.
Exported JSON keeps the accounting inputs for inspection. Importing a file checks its structure, pool identity and accounting. Confirming its claimed contract state independently requires reading Ethereum at the stated block; a valid file or a matching block hash is not sufficient by itself.
03 · VERIFIED HISTORICAL ACCOUNTING
What happened to this unchanged position over this period?
The two bundled cases follow real, fixed-range Uniswap v3 positions. One has nine checkpoints over 4,992 seconds. The other has seventeen checkpoints over 120,468 seconds and includes a range exit and return.
Recorded fee-growth counters establish newly earned fee tokens. Range-time counters establish time active between checkpoints. Complete event queries check that no deposits, withdrawals or fee collections changed the position during the period.
At capture, independently read collect simulations were compared with the fee calculations. State and event providers’ endpoint block hashes and timestamps were checked for agreement. The files retain these checks so the capture can be reproduced with historical Ethereum access.
Holding keeps the exact tokens present at the first checkpoint. Both strategies exclude previously accrued fees. Newly earned fee tokens remain separate and are valued at the selected checkpoint’s pool price. Gas and incentives are excluded, and USDC = $1 is assumed.
The chart connects samples; it does not show every price crossing. These are verified fixed-position records. Changing a range in Playground starts a new hypothetical example; it does not backtest that range against the record.

Read the comparison in context
A result belongs to its prices, starting tokens, period and included costs. Fee income, dollar profit and the gap to holding describe different things. A short recorded outcome does not establish a future yearly return.
